KITCHEN CABINETS WANTED! SEEKING OUT PROJECTS

As you know I love the arts! Stained glass is definitely something I can stare at for hours, and I don't mean while I create, I mean walking into an old mansion, or building. One thing I love is modern with a splash of traditional. I think it's pretty neat how something so old can mix sometimes so effortlessly with today's trends. 

So if you have a modern kitchen and it has newer style cabinets, let's talk! I would love to see how we can make some magic with those cabinets! giving them a little uniqueness.

ABSENCE MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER | DENVER STAINED GLASS

This is one of those sayings that really resinates in so many facets of our lives. Love, Homes, Hobbies, Jobs and the list can go on. Stained glass for many around Denver, and every other city in the world for that matter. Stained glass to me is a reminder to me that there were people and things before my existence. This past week I took some time and created a little something for my own home since most of the projects I make are for clients. It was nice, and my heart is filled with the love and passion I have for stained glass! I hope stained glass makes you feel the same way!

STAINED GLASS COMES IN MANY SHAPES AND SIZES | CUSTOM STAINED GLASS DENVER

At least 10 times per year I get asked, if there is any way to salvage a window frame where an old stained glass used to be. Usually the frame is shaped with my sides or long angles. These projects are one of my favorites due to the nature of problem solving and creating a unique piece in an old space. Here is an example. of that.

CABINET STAINED GLASS IS TRENDING | DENVER STAINED GLASS

Yes, I used the word trending. I'm not that old, but it's actually really cool to see theses trends coming in and out even 15 years to so! It's really nice to be able sit back and take some of the credit for bring original, dare I say Hipster? haha. I hope you guys have had a great week and I can't wait to do more stained glass inlays for cabinets and for companies like California Closets who does a variety of cabinets style installs.

WINTER MAY BE OVER, BUT THAT FIREPLACE AIN'T GOING ANYWHERE | Denver Stained Glass

"Weather" your fireplace provides heat as a primary source, or if you just use to to supplement, the minute spring moves on in, your windows fling open with pollination hoorays! for the next 8 months that fire place will be around and can sometimes be an eye sore to stare inside and not see any beautiful orange flames. Fear not! Here are a couple fireplace ideas to spruce up 8 months and give the fireplace back some life!

There is something just so inviting about stained glass. Then you add some originality, color and some cleaning lines it really just transforms a standard living experience and really makes the house feel like home.

HOW DO YOU WINE ROOM?

Wine rooms are amazing. Some are very in depth and some are super simple. I've fully designed wine rooms  to simple door inserts, but in the end the stained glass work brings "a level up" to the project and you'll be reminded every time you enter down there or take a guess, how hard you worked to achieve that status.

WOULD YOU RATHER? (GAME NEVER TO PLAY)

Sitting around the table with some friends, we were all playing a game called, would you rather. It was interested how quickly that games escalates into the most ridiculous scenarios. One I got was, Would you rather eat a tub of butter, or drink a bottle of olive oil. Both seemed like a gross choice, but yes I did choose the Butter.. 

I got to thinking about how this applies to stained glass and how when you're out looking for the right denver stained glass company, or online auction site to make a piece of art, you really are playing this game with some companies. 

So would you rather pay a little more and get "just okay" or pay little more and get "extraordinary?"

ARE SIDELIGHTS REALLY WORTH ADDING? | STAINED GLASS ADDITION

I know those dark entry ways that make you turn a light on as soon as you enter. I know the frustrations with keys in one hand and groceries on the other as you try to raise your arms to hit the switch. Enter the Sidelights. If you have room to cut out and put some in, not only do you have the option to add elegance and creativeness, but adding that functionality is key.. I know wha you are thinking, "but Steve, what about night time?" Well  there is a simple solution. Porch lights. 99% of houses have them, and the other 1% just haven't changed the light bulb. :) Here some beautiful work I created for a client. RENTALS ARE GREAT SPACES FOR STAINED GLASS

One of my favorite clients will always be the Landlords. These are people who value stained glass. When they come to me with a rental property, I know they truly care about the people they are renting too. A landlord doesn't have to put in beautiful art pieces to rent a space, but my clients do. They see a family or a single person move into a house and they really want them to feel like they live in a home. That creates renter ownership.
